Music

Music is a component of our curriculum. Students in grades K-8 have different opportunities to worship and praise God through music.

Choirs:

Choir is offered to all our students. We have a K-4 choir for our younger students, while our Jr. Choir is comprised of students in grades 5-8.

Chime choir is offered to students in grades 5-8.

Choir practices are held during school hours. All choirs participate in worship at Peace Lutheran Church and at our partner churches throughout the school year.

Musicals:

All students in grades K-8 participate in musicals each semester. In the fall, Peace Lutheran School hosts Family Entertainment Night. During this event, students in grades K-4 are in the opening act, and the main entertainment for the evening is presented by students in grades 5-8. Talent Night is held in late winter or early spring. During this event, students in grades 5-8 perform in the opening act with students in grades K-4 providing the main entertainment for the evening. These are all free family-friendly events opened to the public.

Band:

Instrumental lessons are offered to students in grades 5-8 through Winnebago Lutheran Academy. There are two components to the band program- individual lessons and group rehearsals- leading towards concerts held three times a year at WLA.

Individual lessons for our students are held at Peace Lutheran School on a weekly basis throughout the school year. An instructor from WLA travels to our school to provide these lessons to our students.

Group rehearsals are held weekly at Winnebago Lutheran Academy in Fond du Lac. The rehearsals usually take place on either a Friday afternoon/evening or Saturday morning.

There are three performances during the school year- Christmas, one in January (Let’s Celebrate!), and an end of the year concert at the beginning of May.
