Students at Peace Lutheran School participate in several different contests throughout the year. These contests include Conservation Poster Contest, Celest King Poetry Contest, and the MLC (Martin Luther College) Math Meet.
Celest King Poetry Contest:
Each year, the Dartford Education Club (DEC) hosts the poetry contest for students at the Green Lake Schools and Peace Lutheran School. Celest King helps with the judging of the poems and awarding the ribbons for the contest in honor of her mother. All students in grades 3-8 participate in the Celest King poetry competition. Each student is required to enter 1 or 2 original poems.
Conservation Poster Contest:
All students in grades K-8 participate in the Conservation Poster Contest. A different theme is selected each year and students produce artwork meeting that theme. Artwork is first entered at the Green Lake County level. Winners move on to the regional level, state level and finally to the national level. Students at Peace Lutheran School have performed well in this contest each year; many students have successfully advanced to the state level and won.
The theme for the 2018-2019 school year is “Life in the Soil: Dig Deeper.” To read more about this year’s contest please click on this link: “Conservation Poster Contest”
MLC (Martin Luther College) Meet Math:
Meet Math is a service club at Martin Luther College that provides mathematics contests for students who are enrolled in WELS or ELS schools. Peace Lutheran School students in grades 5-8 participate in Meet Math.
